Senior Test Engineer

Senior Test Engineer - remote/hybrid - £40,000-£45,000

We are seeking a talented and experienced QA Tester to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual and automated testing processes. Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and product managers, to understand requirements and define test strategies.

* Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and load testing.

* Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications, including backend systems developed in Laravel and PHP.

* Implement and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, with a focus on maintainability and scalability.

* Perform web accessibility standard testing to ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines and regulations.

* Utilize Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and collaboration with development teams.

* Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, ensuring the integrity and reliability of APIs.

* Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.

* Provide timely and accurate feedback on the quality of software releases and escalate critical issues as needed.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

* Proven experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies.

* Experience with Laravel and PHP development is highly desirable.

* Proficiency in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.

* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

* Experience with Jira or similar tools for test case management and defect tracking.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
