Software Engineering Team Lead

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled Team Lead with expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular to join a respected client that are migrating to Vue.js and are currently working with PHP (Laravel) in the backend and a heavy emphasis on AWS services.

Working with our client's tech team you will be taking charge of developing and maintaining cutting-edge market research management systems that will see you challenged on a day-to-basis as you help our client to stay at the forefront of their sector as a genuine industry leader.

Skills and Experience:

* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills in Angular or Vue.js

* Knowledge of PHP with Laravel

* Experience with AWS and Serverless technologies (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS)

* Expertise in HTML and CSS

* Deep understanding of programming languages and development concepts

* Experience in system architecture and design

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to self-organise and manage multiple priorities

Role and Responsibilities:

* Set the technical direction and uphold code quality

* Manage development requests, maintenance schedules, and technical debt

* Work with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Serverless, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)

* Oversee service uptime, security, and performance with support from IT Operations

* Enjoy hands-on coding while mentoring and leading a talented team

* Embrace modern DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and open-source standards. Plus, there's opportunity to explore new technologies and expand your expertise
